Kessel is the #1 French newsletter publisher platform.

With Kessel, we worked on 2 main axes: fully rethinking their homepage and rebuilding their author dashboard navigation from scratch.

Rebuilding a dynamic and elegant homepage

The challenge was to introduce the new Kessel brand guidelines while still leaving room for each newsletter’s identity. We used the new Kessel blue only at strategic spots and designed a very sober and clean page that lets each newsletter, author or article shine.

We created a set of components to showcase Kessel’s content diversity: newsletter, article, author, category, editorial selection... The readers should understand that they can find unlimited themes and point of views on Kessel.

Rethinking author dashboard navigation

We rebuilt the author dashboard navigation from scratch, introducing a left menu and defining guidelines for tabs, components and actions. We reorganized the whole content that was already existing in the old dashboard to match this new organization.

Supporting authors in promoting and monetizing their newsletters

Newsletters authors needed guidance in monetizing their newsletter, wether for setting subscription fees or presenting it to their suscribers. We designed a step by step process to help them implementing it.

We also implemented an onboarding process to help them optimizing their newsletter’s presentation and promotion

A 360-project

This project was multi-faceted and so exciting to work on. It was a complete and complex flow, from helping the authors building, promoting and monetizing their newsletter, to highlighting quality content to readers. We thank the Kessel team for this incredible opportunity to highlight the best of French newsletters.
